Fidel Castro: Brutal Dictator Dead at 90

For years, most in the Cuban community both in their home country and in the United States have wondered if its tyrannical despot would ever die.

Finally, late Friday evening of November 25, 2016, Fidel died. However, no cause of death was given. Regardless, it was widely reported that for years, Fidel had suffered with intestinal problems.

Fidel Castro, Communist icon of The Cold War era, was prominently featured of the cover of TIME magazine nine times between January 1958 and January 1998. Given the nature of the publication, this is no surprise.

US leaders buzzed social media.

Barack Obama: "History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure."
Donald Trump: "The tragedies, deaths, and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased."
Mike Pence: "Viva Cuba Libre!"

Not so fast, Mike. Remember, Fidel's brother,  Raul, who is President of Cuba since 2008, has ordered his country observe nine days of mourning with a burial ceremony to take place on December 4, 2016.
